No, I will return my engineering degree; it should have been obvious from the very beginning  >:(

Thank you  :)

There is nothing like complete tear down to understand what is inside.

Also my first real job ever was production engineer in die and tool factory; we made molds for casting aluminum, including molds for Yezdi:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yezdi_Roadking

but the Honda cast is pretty amazing.  You can see some flow problems here and there, still hard to believe they molded them in sand in actual production - even limited production.

The rest of Dorothy is wrapped and labeled and stored.

If it was a lynching of a SOHC, I think the outcome would be different!

Played some with "modern" bike parts - 1993 VFR fork and brakes.  I was able to mock my "sidecar" wheel together in the VFR fork and VFR brake caliper.  Sidecar wheel is CB750 front wheel with bearings upgraded to ID 20mm.

I never felt like going to 17" wheels on Dorothy, but seems like I have a plan now:

- Custom triple tree, VFR fork and brakes, 19" front wheel with original dual discs - thinned.

- 18" wheel for the back, original swingarm and decent shocks, unless I can find aluminum swingarm that fits 18" wheels. Drum brake for the rear wheel.

- DID rims or aluminum, depends what I can find.

The whole idea is for Dorothy to look like mild custom cafe with performance upgrades hidden in plain sight.

Opinions?

Seems like Suzuki GS1100 will do:

Info for the GS1100 arm, they have a larger diameter pivot bolt , mods needed to frame to fit, they aren't as wide at the pivot end as the 750 stock are, spacers needed to fit, they are also nearly 4 inches longer. I have one i'm using but it will be shortened at the pivot end to retain stock geometry.. The lower shock mounts are also in a wider position on the GS arm, Brake arm is on the top which works great for a disc application, not so much with drum, more mods needed.  Its no where near a bolt in fit... It is a nice arm though....

Yes I did, but than I found these VFR elements and they seem to be a good choice.  Like those calipers will work with original K discs, headlight brackets I have will fit VFR forks, seems kind of clicking together if you know what I mean.
