In order to dispel the myths regarding clubmans and range, how many relay related miles have been done with clubmans? I suspect the results may surprise some folks.

I did 588 miles, myself.

I'm planning on over 1000 on clip-ons. I think trying to figure out how many miles were put on a type of bars would be too hard to do.

Just got back from my leg and I logged 1002 miles with clubmans. Wasn't too bad. It would have been a lot more comfortable if it hadn't been so damn cold. My shoulders were knotted up by the time I got home but that was the cold keeping me all tensed up.

Blue72, clubmans refer to a low type of handle-bar, that still use the stock handle-bar mounts on the upper triple-tree. Clip-ons are bars that are clamped, or "clipped" onto the fork tubes, as two separate assemblies. Some people believe these types of bars are not suited to long distance riding. Some of us know better!

503 miles with Norman Hyde M bars. Doesn't seem like it would be comfortable but it actually is....Now the wind is a horse of another color

M bars?? The low handle-bar position in the pics led me to believe you had clubs...

PS Wind SUCKS!!! It ripped the back door of my shop halfway off the hinges today.

I would rather have spent the time to repair the damage working on my bike...

yes they turned them down further so they are in a "clubman" position but not as severe in my creaky old bones opinion.

Those looked lower than I usually ride clubmans Mooshie. That totally counts for the purposes of this thread IMO. You've inspired my girlfriend to ride more. She's looking forward to her new cb400f and she loves the seat set-up on your bike. Hopefully she'll be on the cB550 after a few rides and a seat mod.

Could you post a pic or two? Still don't know what "M" bars are, but, as Matt said, they qualify for the purposes of this thread. "Creaky old bones"

Hi Matt: She can order the same seat I have from Kott motorcycles they are located in Newhall but will ship. They make by hand to order and they even put in contrasting thread to match the color of your bike and any leather you want. It is very comfortable and reasonable prices. I will take a pic and post in a bit.

And thanks Scottly for the "youngster" comment...you silver tongued devil. I will be 49 on Friday so I don't think that counts as a youngster any longer....ha ha

Thanks for the info Mooshie, I'll check it out. I think the "M" might stand for mustache. That's what we call them on bicycles anyway.

Just gotta jump in on this conversation. You would think that a guy with a handle like Mr Breeze would just love the wind like a dog likes Alpo but I totally hate the wind!!! A nice BREEZE is OK but the gale force crap we put up with last weekend was a total bummer. I remember it being excessively windy when we were in the valley. Then as we made our way up into the Sierras.....the wind wasn't bad but it got hella cold (we were expecting that!) When we got to Carson City, Nevada it was cold and windy. Next day wasn't near as bad but man.......when we got down to 3000 ft. on the west side of the mountain you could just feel the warmth and it wasn't windy anymore!!! Sorry to hijack the clubman thread but I just had to comment on the wind thing. By the way..........Euro bars for me

i put almost 1700 on my clubmans in 2 weeks time on vacation. it was rough but it was done.

Hmm, the M bars put the grips in a similar position to Clubmans, but do it in a more curvacious, feminine way!!
