If my fiance was goofy enough to tell me something like that our wedding would be off.

So,
is this the future head of Australia and New Zealand?

I'm a little rusty on royalty stuff.  :(

I think more Americans watched the royal wedding than did Canadians I know I sure as hell didn't get up at 0200 local time to watch it and my wife said the only thing that might be interesting was the dress, and seeing as how I've marched for Liz & Phil a couple of times in various "Honour Guards", I can say with some credibility, pomp and ceremony is a pain in the ass.

I saw a British headline stating that 80% of Brits don't care about the wedding.

I usually have the tv on whether I'm awake or asleep. I couldn't get the local news and weather that is usually on. Just a bunch of crusty elite rolling arounf in expensive cars ,wearing tiaras, and  all the network  anchors oogling at how great everything was.

Best that monarchy attention getter thing is over and out of the news.

We watched it on our last day in Scotland.  My wife and her friend we were staying with really wanted to see the dress.  My take was Kate is pretty hot and so is her sister.  I just stayed to watch the actual ceremony and spent the rest of the day wandering about the old town section of Edinburgh.  While we were traveling around in the northwest Highlands we did an informal poll and it seems most of the Scots don't give a rip about it.  They would usually dismiss it as an English thing.

While not having anything to do with the wedding,  I finished off an nice 18 year old bottle of Scotch while I was there. ;D ;D ;D

The really nice thing about the royal wedding was it gave the news people something to burble about rather than the last days of our election which was a treat and srust I think that yes, the sisters are good looking but check out the mother as well.
