Ok, new season and new build. I will do my best to document the happenings along the way. It may be short and sweet given I don't even know if she'll run.

I picked this sucker up for next to nothing because it needs everything, including a title (maybe I'll just try to find a titled frame). The motor is not stuck and the inside of the tank is clean so that's something. This sweet girl even has what appears to be slightly extended fork legs that will be leaving shortly.

I pulled the carbs first thing and they don't look to be in too rough of shape. I'll be heading to salvage soon to get "new" coils, throw in new plugs, fresh oil and see if she'll fire.

I've honestly thought about it since I found out the entire front end is from,what appears to be, a yamaha and extended to sort of a chopper. Maybe I'll keep the chopper-esque appearance of this one.

Nah, she'll be getting the cafe treatment as soon as I can find a front end. Screaming PITA! Oh well, they can't all be winners.

I found some coils that might work. Does any one know if coils from a 82 CB650 will work on the CB350four? I like the fact that the wires are replaceable.

someone with better knowledge than me should chime in but the 82 650 uses cdi and i believe that you shouldnt mix cdi coils and points(kettering?)

My door/garage is always open, but my funds to overhaul this bike are limited 'cuz we are expecting our first little poop machine. Theofoam, I hope your project is getting close to completition. We need to get out on a ride.

Get in touch with our old member Heffay (Geoff Springer). He is in Denver and does 350's. They will be moving to AZ at the end of April. cafe350@sohc4.net. He is unloading a bunch of his stuff too before the move.

So this morning while cleaning the carbs I found a crack in one of the float posts. Then it completely broke off. Sometimes Im not gentle enough with these things.

Oh well, Looks like im off to the salvage yard to try to find a new left inner CB350 carb body.

Thanks for the heads up, but I just picked up a carb body from the salvage yard this morning. Waiting on new jets to rebuild the carbs back up.

Still need to find a ignition switch and coils.

You guys really need to get with the other guys and formulate a cool plan! You will have Wed, Thur, Fri, and Sat to ride between the Utah leg and the Kansas leg. Godzilla wants to visit scenic Colorado and you guys have been appointed the enviable task of his safe keeping.

The Utah leg crew will be returning 5/3 Tues PM or 5/4 Wed AM to the Denver area with Godzilla. The rest of you guys will be held responsible for the safe keeping until Sat or Sun. CB650, who will be riding Utah, has to be back at work Wed PM-Sun and myself in Burlington on Th-Sat ~ 4PM. I'm hoping that we will ride up Pikes Peak Sunday morning then the Kansas crew will head out Sunday afternoon 5/8.

Ok, so I've installed "new" coils, ignition, and plugs. My carb rebuild kit will be here this week, and the salvage yard has a new front end for me. Keeping my fingers crossed for spark when I get her all together.

I need a little help identifying the fork that came on the bike so I can sell it to get $ for my new front end. I'm relying on the years of motorcycle experience on this forum to tell me what kind of from end the PO put on this thing. Please take a look at The pic in my first post and let me know what y'all think.

Well, I think it's safe to assume that the fork is not off a SOHC4 'cuz I havent seen a response yet.

Update...

I've installed new coils, plugs, ignition switch, battery and fuse. I had to wire in a new male end to the ignition plug 'cuz the PO hacked the wiring when installing the "new" front end.

I wanted to test for spark while I was rebuilding my carbs so I pulled a plug, to try to kick it over while it laid on the fins (plugged into the coils, of coarse) and got no spark. What are some things I can check before I dig deeper into some wiring issues?
