CB350 front drum brake cable..are they common parts?
« on: April 16, 2006, 07:00:44 AM »
Before I go looking for one at local bike stores, are these just generic cables common to any brand bike or are they model specific? I'm thinking that off road bikes have front drum brakes, so the cables should be out there and easy to get.

Off road bikes have longer forks so the cable is longer, possibly the 350 or 450 drum brake models may fit. You ned to check the adjusters and the "free" length (how much the inner cable sticks out when pulled all the way to one end)
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

There's usually a bunch of cables on eBay. Search "cb350" under motorcycle parts

Late 1980's CB400 front cable works and the CB360 cable is same as 350

One thing about cables on ebay. Double check the length of yours against the length of
their's. There are quite a few that don't seem too badly priced but, they're for high bars (about
10" or more too long) Good Luck with your looking. Later on, Bill
