Topic: convert my 550 to a 500cc

Hi Guys

i have a cafe CB550 that i am racing in sprints in the UK, its recently (last weekend) raced in the Thundersprint in the Classic 500 class, all was well last year as i finished down the field

after a winter fix up i managed to finish better on Sunday & now a few grumbles have started as its 550cc not 500cc

the motor needs a top end build so im thinking of giving at a rebuild but if possible putting a 500cc top end on to make it race legal

any help or links to posts would be great, weekend race report to follow

its a bolt on conversion, just get a 500 cyl block + pistons and your'e done

right if its a straight bolt on any one in the UK have a 500cc barrells top end etc or know a good man who can do the job
