Rear disc is from a GPZ 550 front, thinned to the minimum 4.5 mm, on a lathe with a tool-post grinder to clean up the worn surface. Major PITA! With the disc bolted to the hub adapter I machined, weight was 3.6 pounds. Rear caliper is a 2 piston Gremeca, and with the mounting plate, weighs about 3 pounds.
I read somewhere that Colin Seeley designed the rear axle adjusters for Ducati; maybe that's why they look familiar.
A member told of someone that could make custom springs a while back; don't remember who. That might be my best bet on that front...
Talked to my buddy about getting his TIG fired up, and he was all for it!!
Hmm, with a home-made English Wheel and a TIG just what could I do???
