Wow was this thing greasy! It wasn't good grease either - it was thin and runny. I think that somebody powerwashed these bearings.

I had a new one made! Thanks everybody for your advice. It cost me a case of beer! ;)
Looks way nicer than the other part - I'm sure that somebody else messed this part up and the one I had was a replacement.

I know this is digging up a really old topic - but I'm in need of this stepped collar (honda p/n: 42625-283-000).

I can't seem to find a place to buy one and I don't have enough info (specifically the length of the larger diameter step) to try and get one made.

If my only option is to buy another hub, then I'll do it - but i figured I'd seek help from the collective here first....

Anyone got one I can buy...or one they will take the dimensions on so I can try to make a duplicate.

Can't put this hub back together and get started trying to re-spoke and true the wheel without this part :(

I ended up finding a reaonable deal on ebay and buying another wheel.  Here's a photo of the problem collar and dimensions (if I can get them attached)...hopefully this will help the next guy.
