Nominate for Bike Of The Month - June 2011
« on: May 03, 2011, 09:18:11 AM »
It's Nominatin' Time!

May 2011 BOTM Voting Thread - http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=87507.0;topicseen

Congratulations SamCB750A for being the May 2011 BOTM winner!

I will let this run until about 4/15/11 and then start the voting thread.

Please Nominate, Second and Accept using those words.  It makes it easier for me to setup the voting threads.  It gets crypted at times.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

And it was his first build? I'll second that nomination.

Wow guys.  I didn't even see this until I was notified in a PM!  Our power has been out due to the storms here in Alabama, and I tell ya, it is an honor just to be considered among such awesome company.  I will gladly accept the nomination, though I'm not sure I deserve it.  Thank you guys so much!  I'll get you some more pics when the weather clears up here (rain....again!).  Again, thank you all so much!

You're kidding my guys?! No way I deserve to be on this list!

For one my bike's essentially stock with a different models tank, a different makes muffler and some other 'resto mod' bits. Oh and it's not really finished yet!

Kanticoy's is a work of art. That's attention to detail and just a polished overall look. I'm not there yet.

But thankyou so much for even including me in the conversation, I've not stopped smiling since a mate showed me this thread. So much so I uploaded a little camera-phone video a friend shot of my first ride.

Are we ever really finished with our projects?

So... Are you accepting the nomination?

At least you have pics.  I have one pic and yanno, I can't find it!  I had hair back then too, I can't find that either!

That was a nice ride you had!

Wow, I'm honored, tweakin!  I'm a little hesitant to accept though.  On other forums I'm a member of, it gets my goat sometimes when a new guy comes in, wins BOTM and then jets.  While I'm not going anywhere, I didn't really include SOHC4 in the build process until the tail end of the build, even though you guys unknowingly helped me the whole way!  So really, thanks for the nod, but I have to turn this one down.

This forum is a little more laid back than the other, it is more about the bike rather than the build process.  You have a build well worth BOTM.  I think you should reconsider accepting the nomination but totally understand.

Chris,

Take the nomination.  Your build is beautiful and it's about the bike.  nothing else.  Fantastic work mate.
