The city of roses is my home!
« on: May 05, 2011, 11:40:02 AM »
Hey everyone!

I am from Pasadena, CA and recently bought a CB 750K8 that was listed for 1500 for 1300. This thing was a timewarp! It had Vindicator fairings, bags and and an 8-track player. It definitely needed some TLC.

Since I bought it I have removed the carbs and am having them rebuilt, cleaned off the nasties and just last night sent it to get powdercoated. I am going to be converting it to a cafe racer and can't wait. I am also waiting for Carpy to hit me back so that I can get my engine rebuilt. I have a pretty cool seat on order also.

I love checking this place out and really am enjoying everyones builds and welcome any input on parts and anything else you feel like sharing.

Also, if anyone wants to buy the fairings let me know. I have all the keys for them and they are pretty clean.

Vindicator, It's great to see young guys appreciating the old classics. Red

Congrats on your recent buy!

I just picked up my first Honda CB a month ago, a restored 1972 CB350f with 4.5k miles.

Do you have a good mechanic in the Pasadena area?

Looking forward to bumping into you around Pasadena... you can find my bike parked outside Lucky Baldwins when I finally get it back up and running.

First off, welcome!

Sounds like you have a good plan. Beware: Carpy has become very popular and his prices can get expensive. Hondaman also rebuilds motors, but is in CO.

List your fairing on the for sale section of this forum, I'm sire someone is interested.

And post some pics, we'd like to see what you ought!

But you kept the 8-track...RIGHT? Those things are classics, be a shame to lose one to a cafe build.

 :)

Good luck with the build.
