It sure is someone's wet dream, personally I wouldn't give it shed space as I need something more practical. Can't knock the guy for skimping though, there is some serious time effort and $$ gone into that. The same lovingly spread over a derilect CB750 would be something to behold.

Really a bit of $ is being bid here.
I wonder if it isn't the guys friends bidding it up.

In today's market, it's going to be hard to get over 10k for a "smaller displacement" bike - even on ebay.

It IS top-notch work.  If he's able to be patient he will get the price he wants.   If it were on the west coast - say in Hollywood - my guess is
that it would be sold easily for more than $10K

Loads of great details on that bike.  I'm definitely a fan.

Has anyone noticed the way that his wheels are laced ?    All the spokes are "inners"     Looks pretty cool - especially with the polished hubs.

Anybody know of any disadvantages with that method of wheel lacing ?

TAS sells a 16 inch kit like that. I laced up a set and have had no problems . I am no mechanical engineerbut it seems odd that all manufacturers have always done in and out.

Nice workmanship, but pig-ugly, another "form over function" deal, and virtually unrideable with those stupid car tires. Yuk.  :o
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The front drum break kinda scares the crap out of me. I would rather just not have breaks and use my feet over a front drunk break. :D

My 71 bmw has a drum front break. Stops quite well. Probably about as well as an old primitive disk break.
