Hey elfin. Welcome to the SOHC/4 forum and its good to see another NC guy here. Your starting off right by taking a motorcycle riding and training course. Learn and get as much experience as you can before hitting the public hwys. I've been riding for over 40 years and believe me its a different world out there now than it was when I started in the early 70's. If your interested in these classic SOHC Honda's that great. This forum has a ton of info and facts about the bikes and a lot of very knowledgeable  people that will be glad to help. You can find a lot of stuff on your own by using the search field. Good luck with your classes and finding a SOHC/4.

oh good thanks for replying. I have been looking on craigslist and found a 1974 honda cb350 from a dealer in durham. Looks pretty sweet to me but I have no idea of knowing whether or not it is a good buy.

Elfin,

My name is James and I live right between Durham and CH.  If you would like to look at that bike together, send me a PM.  I can go any day but Monday and as far as I know Fox's Suzuki is the only dealer open on Monday in the area.

elfin,

First, welcome!  This forum has amazing amounts of information and tons of cool people more then willing to help.  When are you planning to take the motorcycle safety course?  I am actual about to do mine as well.  Also, if your into cafe bikes we have a facebook group here in Raleigh too.
