Inquiring minds want to know???
« on: September 27, 2011, 01:51:56 PM »
Well I must be a little bored today & was doing some of my favorite reading (The Lizard Chronicles, as told by the SOHC4ers).  I was revisiting Jerry's "List of Participants .." & got to wondering about the 330 odd riders who started signing up oh so long ago.  I see that it's not in any particular order (madmtnmotors, you're still #1 for us, but not on that list) so...

-How many riders have actually carried GZ so far?
-How many accompanying riders (or total actual participants) so far?
-How many riders rode to meet up with GZ & were frustrated (for whatever reason) in the attempt?

I know we've got about 20 NZ/AUS riders & some northwesterners on the list still awaiting their turn.  We have posts of our 500, 1000, 2000 & the new "King Ofreen" mileage riders posts, but what about kind of an overall participant picture so far?  Any data miners out there? Just wonderin.. 8)

The list is in the order that people signed up for this adventure. I've also been wondering how many of the riders that signed up actually participated, and how many participated that aren't on the list.

The Michigan leg had 11 riders. That does not include the 2 riders from Ontario, 1 from Chicago and 1 from Wisconsin.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Seaweb reports 174 signatures on the back of the banner(s).  I'm still perusing posts for the past week & getting a feel for the total numbers of participants, stay tuned..

PS Old_School reports we're up to 20, 147 miles on the relay.  That's 32, 230 km for the rest of us metric users (but I'm totally messed up when I'm on the bike, "Officer, the sign said 60...")
