MAY i VENT?
« on: May 05, 2011, 03:46:14 PM »
I couldn't seen to catch the forum brake line guy when he had time for me so I looked for another source. I ordered from a company I heard of here, but at a new local dealer. I asked for new lines for my Double disc F1 that feed directly to the caliper without the hard lines. He called them  while I was there. He asked all the right questions. The order came but required the hard lines. The company refused to take them back, so I bought them even though they were not what I ordered. I got them home and they are also too short. If I lowered the bike 2" in front and put on clip ons or clubmans maybe they would reach. He already told them to screw off.
I ordered AN fittings and lines from a local speed shop, maybe they will fit.

Just trying to ride the tour and not have a fake brake.

Oh, and on the way there on the bike, two cars came at me head on and one backed from a driveway in front of me.
  Staying home and drinking.

Jeez glad you made it home safe. Some days it's just not good to be on the road even in a cage!

Which brake lines did you order originally? I just bought some from a supplier on ebay cause the guy on this board wasn't taking orders. The guy I bought from does custom lengths and seems knowledgable about older bikes like ours. I bet if you got him measurements and what type of ends you need he could have them made.

Thanks, I'm  out a hundred twenty for the first set and fifty for the earls AN lines. If the speigler double banjo bolt was long enough for the Earls banjo's I'd be double braking now. Someone is going to fix this or I'm going viral on their name.
I don't mind having an extra pair of brake lines around if they fit something, these don't.
I just want to ride on the tour and not have a fake brake.

Just make them up yourself,,pretty easy, and they weill fit.

And if you buy a tee and 2 45,s you can make a really clean line, top to bittom... and leave the duelling banjos to them other guys.. what a waste..

I think whoever this dude is needs to go in the bad sellers section so people can get a heads up on this seller.

When I get back from the tour I will talk to them and I bet they will help me with a set that works. If not then I will post their name in big letters. They have a nice looking product but at least one dumbass on their phones.
