Thanks Tete..
Yeah im a bit nervous to attempt the seat myself but im going to have some help from a friend of mine who has a bit of exp sewing.. She did a nice little seat on her pit bike so i think we can get something looking decent. Either way ill be amped to learn a bit and try it out..
in other news, the last two nights ive been working on getting the bike running.. first night was interesting for sure.. realized very quickly that i had put the little sleeves that go into the head for the exhaust on wrong.. a couple of my float bowls were leaking and that i def wasnt running on all 4..
I went back last night determined to get things buttoned up a bit.. first i got the
bike up in the air to fix the exhaust and that went pretty quickly so i was feeling good.. next was yank the carbs back off and fix the leaky float bowls.. so i got them benched and taken apart cleaned them up, re-gasketed them and adjusted my bowl height too.while i had them off i replaced the fuel lines as well. After that it was time to get them back on the bike to try and fire it.. that didnt last long.. as soon as i hooked my battery up my starter went crazy..
i traced it back to the wiring in the controll and had to snip the wires back a bit and re-solder them.. once that was done it was time to fire it up. after a couple cranks she fired up but still only running on 2..
first tought was to check the coils too see if the two that werent firing were on the same coil.. nope. next was check the plugs.. bingo. not only were they completely fowled they turned out to be the wrong plugs for the bike all together.. i figured i would try to clean them up see if it at least would spark on all 4 so i knew thats all it was and sure enough it fired right up and seemed to be running much better.. at this point it was like 1130 and i was shot so i called it a night
sooooooooooo my next move is to get some good NGK's some fresh oil and see if i can really dial the carbs in.. im also really gunning for ordering tires next week as well.. money money money
