my drill idea was a semi failure.. it may still work, but i need a better drill with a legit chuck. the drill i used was cheap and the chuck won't stay tight anymore. other than that it works.
i painted my tach needle, put the red zone sticker on, and clear coated it. big difference in before and after.
i also got a tach base plate in the mail..
now i'm stuck again because i polished the outter shell and found that it oxidizes too quickly. i'm not sure if that's a battle i want to keep fighting. i may rough it up with some sand paper and paint it back to the original black, if anyone knows what type of paint to use to match the original.. maybe after that i'll put a chrome tach cover on it anyway. also, i have no idea where i put the rubber ring that goes between the tach base plate the rest of the tach.. hmmm.
i also got some 60's era tank badges in the mail that i'm going to get heat pressed into my tank.
slow and steady..
