Throttle Conversion
« on: May 14, 2011, 09:43:06 AM »
I am not sure how much of my bike is stock but I think the throttle is. It is currently clamped to the bars using the engine kill switch which also contains the starter button. I want to get rid of that entire assembly as the kill switch is dead and I found one I want to change to.  My question is will this throttle tube work on our bikes?

I have also done some searching and can't seem to find the answer. I remember reading somewhere that I can swap for an '00 GSXR master cylinder and lever .. but other than that what other option do I have to get rid of that large reservoir on the bars?

That should work fine. You'll probably have to ask Motion Pro if the stock cables fit it, or if they make a pair that do fit it, as the little cable pull holes and threads might be different from the Honda version.
