Helped pull this from a garage
« on: May 14, 2011, 09:21:48 AM »
A friend of my mom's told me that she had rode a motorcycle to get her endorsement only a few years ago but other than that had never been on one. She found a motorcycle she thought she wanted for $900 and asked if I would go and look at it. I warned her that I could help detect mechanical problems but electrical sensors and what not can't be predicted but I would be happy to look at it.

She sent me the specs on the bike, it was/is an '85 CB450 Nighthawk. I expected a rough riding needs some work motorcycle but instead found this:

Brand new tires ect. The girl that owned it was 5' tall and couldn't stand with it properly so was selling it .. Thought I would share the gem she stumbled across.

That's a pretty nice bike, 3 valves per cylinder, makes some respectable power.
There were only 4700 of them in the US, one year only model, too.

Here's a neat owner's site:http://www.iadesign.ca/hawk/info.html

It surprisingly fun to ride and a very nimble little bike.
