It would turn, but brakes would be an entirely different thing, those brakes anyway.... :o

Is that another head? Or how are you going to salvage that one with cam and journals chewed up?

I found this one local. Had to buy a whole parts motor to get it. Now i have enough parts to build a second engine minus the head and cam.

Cylinder should be done tomorrow. Going big bore up from a 122 to a 135. New cam chain and guides.

Just for my own records the carb is set up with a 110 main, 38 pilot and the needle moved up 1 notch. I could not get the thing to run on the idle circuit despite  my best attemps at cleaning the carb so swapped everything onto a different body and the bike runs great now. Still a little sputter a WOT.

105 main,38 pilot and needle moved up one. WOT sputter is gone. idle mixture screw is in pretty far so i thin i could drop down one pilot but its running good right now.

Just a good head and cam is all I need.

How about a whole XR350 engine.... ;D

ff,
Have you ever considered doing More work on the motor ?
such as a stroker crank ?? I like the idea of more power in that  200 lb. cycle ! I once bought an SL125 motor & put it into my CB100 ! I installed a Powroll 135cc piston kit along w/ a 10cc stroker crank kit & a mild Powroll street camshaft which made it a Honda 145.I was very happy(at 19 yrs.old)w/ the difference in power !

Powroll has disappeared. I did look at some of their stuff but to bring it up to a like 150 or so was over $1000. It would be much easier to drop in a Honda 185 motor. They fit with a small modification to the frame. Friend of mine was building one. Had the motor mocked up in the frame but lost interest and sold all the parts.

That's too bad about Powroll..;I liked there way of getting more power out of little Honda singles. I'm interested in swapping a 185 motor into a CB125S..,do you know anything about what kind of mods are necessary ? I wonder how much you can bore an XL185 out ? or an XR200 possibly ?? I heard about the 185 swap from a member here about a year ago,I think it was from member Kirkn...

What size are the tires?
Could you get bigger ones to fit in the swing arm gap or are you at the max?

Im sure you could fit wider tires but why would you? to make the bike slower?

ffJ,
Where did you purchase your 3mm over piston ? Does it come in small oversizes after the initial 3mm ? or is it just the 3mm only ?
I want to purchase this CB125S and was considering a bit more displacement. They're a Nice bike  :)

Bought it on eBay. 3mm only. It's old stock.
