1978 CB750 F3 aka Osaka Express
« on: May 16, 2011, 03:53:13 PM »
So here it is.  Just finished up the bike after a winter of rebuilding it, I really wanted to post progress pics but with a new edition to the family it was a little hard sometimes.  So the idea behind the bike was to take some of the styles from the various years of the CB750.  The other item I took into consideration was comfort,  it was all about making the bike feel right to me.  Another was storage so I added some saddle bags so I could throw in a raincoat and a few tools.  So heres what I did;
Spoke wheels from a 76 F2
Front forks from a 76 F2
Drilled front rotor with SS brake lines
Early style fork gators
Moved the turn signals to the headlight bucket
Polished steel gas tank
Re painted the engine is gloss black
Switched the engine hardware to SS allen head bolts
Mac 4 into 1 exhaust
Saddle bags
And all new electrical and engine gaskets.
And yes I didnt put the side cover on the oil tank because I like the look of it!
So thats Osaka Express, it rides like new and I like it allot!
