Frame sounds like a 1970 and the engine either maybe a 77 or 78. If that is an F in the engine number than its from a post 76 Supersport,F2 or F3. Sounds like a bitsa bike. Is the engine black in color   ?

Nope. I screwed up. Engine says 750E. Does that make more sense?

the frame and engine numbers never match. hondachopper.com has a guideline for engine and frame numbers and their corresponding years.

find your bike on this page, and click on it, you will find a "Click here for ID Plates" tab...
you'll see the different VIN's for the different engines and frames.  find the ones yours fall into.
I think the only owners who really care about VIN's really close are the Sand(cast) Lot.

Since you changed the F to an E in the engine that would make it a 78 K engine with a 70 frame. Here is this chart I use. http://www.hondachopper.com/engine/engine_timeline/timeline.html

Out of curiosity are the gauge ,speedo and tach covers made of glass or plastic and what is the redline ? Since the frame looks to be a K0 maybe it has some other early tid bits.
