Newbie
« on: May 16, 2011, 08:12:42 AM »
Hi folks,
Newbie here on SOHC4. I met one of the members (midnightrider) last Saturday at the opening of Dime City Cycles in Tampa, FL.

I have been riding since mid eighties in Brazil and have owned small bikes since then. Hondas CG125, CB400T, CBX250, etc. I have been living in the US since 2000 and have owned a couple of sport bikes (GSXR600, 1000), hence the name gixxer.

Back in December 09 I got the CB from my wife’s uncle. He had that bike since new but it was parked on his shed since 1986, when it was last registered as well. It still looked good so I offer to buy it from him and then it all begun. That bike brought back a lot of memories from my childhood so I had to have it. The project didn’t start for real until December 2010. Before that it was just taking things apart and cleaning everything. Now it’s probably 80% complete. I will post pictures of it on the project shop forum soon.

Glad to be here and looking forward to be part of this group.

Thanks MJ. I got a 1977 CB400F and it's now becoming a cafe. At least it's the goal. See the thread here:
