Topic: What's your favorite cb400f colour?

Ok so I'm at the point in my project where I'm going to be painting my tank and side panels and I'm trying to decide what colour to go with. Just wanted to see what colour is most preferred out of the people on this forum. At the moment I'm veering towards either the varnish blue or the antares red. It's just so hard to decide

  So far 100% of the votes have been cast for the varnish blue!

Amongst the stock colors it is my favorite but why limit your options to stock colors when there are so many beautiful greens, silvers, blacks, oranges and... well you get the picture.

I'm doing a frame-up rebuild on my 75 CB400F and am considering a red frame w/ virtually everything else being silver. Anyway that is the current color scheme.

Whichever color you choose please post pics of the finished bike.

Well I think I want to stick with a stock colour on this one, the next project I can do any colour I want

Light ruby red. Its visible, and don't all good bikes look great in red?

I also voted for the yellow.I know its the color of a lemon,not real popular in the day because of that,but just think that it looks great on that bike,very distinctive. I know of an original 750F in yellow I have been trying to get but no success yet.

Maybe, but only good bikes look great in yellow.
The 400Four is one of the few bikes that I like in that colour. But it has to have black decals or stripes on it.

Vote for varnish here.  In stock scheme, the yellow with black side covers doesn't quite do it for me.  Red isn't bad.  Candy red is ho-hum.

The Parakeet Yellow looks happy, and makes the chrome really pop IMO.


BTW, the tank striping makes all the difference in the world, without it, the tank looks like an afterthought, but with the factory pattern, it really goes into the bike sweet.
