From what I understand, this is your first bike, I would concentrate on getting her running and rolling.
Don't make the classic mistake of getting way too wrapped up on incidentals before you actually get to ride her. It is much easier to work on, and enjoy working on your bike when you have felt her run.
If you take everybody's advice on what must be done, you will have $5000.00 into it before you even start it.
Your biggest hurdle will be the electrics and the carbs.
All I am trying to say, is not to get too worried about the little stuff, popping a swingarm back off is a 10 minute job, you can do that later.
If this is your first bike, you wouldn't notice if the wheels were square, you will be learning the clutch, the shifting, etc. etc.
These old bikes are built like a tank, and are EXTREMELY forgiving.
