cb550 carb rebuild 1975

cleaning the carbs and was wondering what the stock main jet and jets in the carbs were???????

Should be 38 and 100 with needle on 4th.  1 1/8 turns out

That Changes few settings than mentioned above.  Your carbs should be 069A with 38 and 98 jets, 2nd groove needle

what you are saying about the jets i have 2-98's
1-100
1-110
thats what i pulled out.
and my slow jet cracked on the reinstallation. (got the broken thread out)

If you have stock cb550F carbs they are 069..... look on the side of the carb body. That should be stamped...

those come with one main jet per carb body.... 98 is the main jet size...

PO may have changed them.

ok i have two 98 were can i purchase more??
also look at this video
Carburetor Cleaning and Repair
when the mechanic takes the float bowls apart there is a clip that going on the main jet and when you reinstall the bow it holds the main in place.  are those factory cause when i opened my carbs didn't have them... if not i'm gonna make some.????????????????????????

Take a pic of your carbs. Much easier moving forward that way.

i'm gonna take pictures today and post tonight, so i went to honda and ordered the slow jet that broke on me the other day 8.00$ a pc and honda no longer makes main jets for the carbs.   so you better be real goo with tuning and drilling out or keep your bike stock
