Ah man, I'm sorry to hear that.  Really enjoyed your travel blog.  Hopefully it'll turn up soon, but I REALLY hope you can find it before the authorities do and make it right with a set of brass knuckles.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear that. Well, you have two of us that will be on the lookout in NW Arkansas and the surrounding areas. Best of luck...

my girlfriend is saying i should change the reward to 1000. I'm willing to pay that, is it a good idea to do that right away or wait awhile?

:o Sorry to read about it. I checked craigslist using the ALL OF CRAIGSLIST website. Nothing too close to you. Anything unique about your bike. I see the black luggage rack and header. Heres the link:

If you're truly ready to fork over a grand to get it back, I'd say go ahead and do it.  The more time that passes, the less likely it is you'll ever see it again.  Maybe the S.O.B. would rather have a big chunk of change than beat the snot out of it on a joy ride.  Maybe one of his greedy friends would rather have the grand than see their idiot friend mess up your bike.  Who knows what'll motivate these morons?

I don't know how helpful you will find this, but I will offer it anyway. Here's a link to a website that allows you to search all Craigslists at the same time. Maybe you could find it posted in your region:

http://www.searchallcraigs.com/results.php?cx=008609316294039878592%3Akpprmpiw0x0&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=UTF-8&q=cb750&sa=Search&siteurl=www.searchallcraigs.com%252F#2358

Good luck,

That sucks man, really sorry to hear. Sometime I really just lose faith in humanity. But I'll keep my eyes open here in Tulsa, I check CL everyday here and in OKC anyway. I have your number in my phone as well in case I spot it on foot.

Hey man, hit us up with a right side shot of your bike, I'm bored and on the hunt. Anything that makes it stick out from other 550's?  I wouldn't be surprised if they threw a #$%*ty coat of paint on it and tried to pull the "Well I got it (blank) years ago and it never had a title" gag.

Also, allofcraigs.com is the same concept as searchallcraigs, but works much, much better.  Good luck bud.

+1 I probably should have done the reward thing from the get go. Cheaper than the time involved finding and rebuilding one from scratch one way or another.

I'd even be willing to not gag on the feeling of eating #$%* when paying out at this point.

I think if you offer $1K then you should include a clause that says it needs to be in the condition it was when it was stolen.  You don't want to pay $1K to somebody telling you that all that's left is a frame in a junk yard.   :-\

It is really a shame to have to read posts like these.  Especially since I've read your blog before and became so attached to your story.  :'(

+1

I would offer the $1000 and have a cop nearby to discuss the details of where they found it. Pricks
