Painting my CB750 Tank.
« on: May 18, 2011, 04:29:17 AM »
So i cut my 38 year old tank at the seams, sand blasted the inside, had a shop weld it back up and fix any rust holes, had my local radiator shop seal the inside and check the tank for leaks...Im ready for paint, sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, clear, install.  Im going back to stock candy bacchus olive, decals, the works.

I got the decals and helmut stickers.

Emblems are in OK shape, Im gonna hand paint them.  Whats the deal with 73 tank emblems, why are they so expensive and different than other years?

I need a couple of close up pictures of cb750 tanks to see where to put the decals and where to tape for the black background.

Im also wondering if there is anywhere to get the bimetal bottom trim for the tank in the USA?

Thanks,
 Pics to come soon...

I would pressure test myself.  I don't like surprises under my new paint and decals.
