1984 Vf 700 Interceptor
« on: May 18, 2011, 07:20:17 AM »
Just picked one up monday. Was single owner, garaged, clean bike, nicest looking vehicle i've had in quite some time. little mark on right pipe from a car swiping him, but he didn't go down.
needs not much, two levers (clutch and brake) oil change, tires, regular stuff. and maybe a carb go through.

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with these bikes? what to expect, and what to tackle that i might not know about?

Oh, another cool tidbit, the bike rolled off the assembly line the same month I was born! i'll post pics of it soon, when i get them on my computer.

Great bikes, I had an 83 750 that I recently sold before I started accumulating massive amounts of tickets.  There were some cam oiling issues but the mod was probably done on yours..  You will definitely need to adjujst the valves and sync the carbs.  While doing the valves check the cam lobes...Larry
