help 2-3 not firing on the side of the road
« on: May 19, 2011, 02:40:43 PM »
Ok Popwood and I are at a gas station trying to figure out why his 2-3 is not firing. He said its been going in and out. When points are closed no voltage like it should be but when its open we read like .3 of a volt. Have verified connections are good its not the condensor. Help!!!

750? doesn"t the same blk/w wire feed both coils under the tank?you must have power there if the other one is firing. look where they branch off at the coils

there is a Y connector under the tank, black wire in, two black wires out.  Check the connector, they get loose, corroded.
