120mph in a 45 zone, back in 2003 on my '95 CB1000 (I loved that bike!). Fourth of July, early in the morning, no traffic. Took off out of convenience store parking lot, I didn't realize it, but there was a cop sitting behind the store. Well I leave the parking lot, street to my left with stop sign, I am leaving the parking lot entrance/exit, I roll on the throttle and start getting down a beautiful causeway, very twisty, very smooth, very rural, not a care in the world. I start catching up to two Harley's and back off the throttle, ride behind them for about a mile, when all of a sudden I hear the siren right behind me, and look in the mirror and see the cop. He pulls up along side me and forces me off the road. I stop, he stops, he gets out gun drawn telling me to get on the ground. I of course comply as I see that he his shaking like a dog #$%*tin peach seeds with his finger on the trigger. I get cuffed and put in the back of the car. Long story short,,,,,he tells me I'm being charged with disregarding stop sign, reckless/speeding 120/45, and eluding. I had to explain that I had no idea he was behind me and that I wasn't eluding him, and didn't understand how I can disregard stop sign when I wasn't on the road but instead in the parking lot. I ended up calling in a favor of a cop freind of mine, who was owed by the District Attorney in the area that ended up dropping the charges.
Moral of the story,,,,if your going to speed, have plenty of freinds who can help you out.
