adjusting front brakes 77 cb550
« on: May 23, 2011, 07:06:04 PM »
I rebuilt my 77 cb550 front end this winter . Cleaned, polished ,new rubber repacked bearings, and a new set of brake pads. I can run around for about 2 or 3 miles then it starts sweaking, getting hot and then they start to bind up. I cants seem to be able to adjust the caliper bracket right         help!

Dave ,  is the caliper bracket free to pivot?  Did you get all the crud out from behing the caliper seal?  Sounds like your bracket may be seized at the pivot point...Larry
