I'm willing to help.  Send me a PM with the specifics and we'll work it out.  No charge - just cover any paypal charges and we're fine.

You're lucky. It seems like most of the good parts are in UK. We only got many cheap ones.

Plus, your UK-spec 400s have the more desirable tailight and winkers.

I agree. My US spec CB400F's winkers (turn signals) and taillight look out of place by being too big compare to UK types. I guess us US guys are too fast for our own good.

Seawater saltair did a lot of damage to many older bikes who lives in coastlines from both sides of the Atlantic. My own Kawasaki KZ900 pipes suffered rust in 5 years when I traveled to Redondo Beach in the Pacific all too often. My replacement NOS piles hasn't rusted in 20 years, thank goodness for dry Las Vegas weather.

I'm pretty sure it was a DOT thing that made taillights and indicators get so big in US.
I bought a couple of 1974~75 CB360's with the small indicators but large tail lights (see pic) which means I have a couple of sets of indicators I wont be using from CB360's

I thought I saw a post here once where someone sprayed/poured something in the exhaust
to save them from rusting out. Anyone remember it?

I sprayed wd-40 in all my pipes before putting them up for the winter.
peace,
michel

I have this fogging oil in a spray can that would work.  I've also heard of running two-stroke mix through the bike for a bit to coat the inside of the pipes.
