Help me with 750 Valve timing!?
« on: May 22, 2011, 12:26:20 PM »
Hey all,

I put a new cycle x 4-2-1 exhaust on today (sounds awesome btw  ;D ), reset the ignition timing, and went to sync the carbs...

So the carbs are now all synced, but the needle is reading at 4 "inches"(?) on the vacuum side - in the red area which reads "late valve timing or leak at intake manifold or heat riser"

I can't find any leaks, so I'm assuming my valve timing is a little retarded?

Does that mean my camshaft is installed wrong, or I need to replace it?

It runs really well so I'm kind of stumped at this point.

Thanks for the help guys!  :)

Pay no attention to the actual reading on the vacuum gauges.  The only thing that matters is that they're all the same.
