I put my clubman bars on, hooked everything back up to corrisponding colors, but now my start button won't work. If I switch the 2 black wires (from the right controll), then the start button works, but the bike wont start. Not even kicking it. however if I keep it how I had it before I unplugged it, it will start on the first kick and the headlight hi/lo switch dont work... and no start button! I hate wiring problems... gimme a beer! :o

Wouldn't the black wires be the "KILL SWITCH"? Not sure if Honda used the same colour coding throughout their range of SOHC4's but my starter switch operates from a red/yellow wire!
That kinda makes sense if you are grounding the two black wires and they are the kill switch wires, once you seperate them the bike will start on the kick. :)
Check which colour wire is coming out of your solenoid, it should be a colour, I'm guessing red and yellow. ;)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Its a 750 k6....

I triple checked, all of the colored wired are where they need to be, but the 2 black ones have got me banging my head against the wall. The red/yellow is hooked up and I have only found one place for the black wires to go for the starter to work, but it will not start at all. My bike is at work, soo I wont get back to it till tomorrow afternoon to check the solenoid wire.

OK well the only on-line wiring diagram is for the 650 but as yours is a more modern 750 it is probably applicable.
You will see that if you put the red/yellow wire to the black wire it should fire the starter, also the black wire once attached to the black/white wire activates the kill switch so leave those two apart until you figure starting part.
New bars also have a coating on them that doesn't help with the earthing of the wires so you may have to check that a decent earth happens by running an external one from a good known earth before you can blame your switches.

When i ran my wires thru my new euro bars, my starter stopped working.
It wasnt until i split my R control that i noticed the 38+ year old solder of the R/Y wire at the starter button had failed.  Resoldered the wire and now it works fine.

Any splices in the wire that you've pulled thru that might have come undone?
any burrs cutting into pulled wires causing a short?

Red yellow is starter, black is kill switch.
