I just Got these velocity stacks in today for my bike. Going in to get jetted tomorrow.

Solid Brass for the Ladies...

I highly recommend these guys when and if you are ever looking for a really nice custom set of Velocity
Stacks.

Too bad they won't filter anything shy of a 4 pound rock, but they really look good. Run 'em and let the haters squirm!

I think they only charge $60 or so for a set of four. That's really a pretty good price if you look around. Carpy charges $60 a piece for his stacks, and they have some stupid huge ugly fins on them.

I ordered their airbox on the weekend!

Looks good, and filters using bulk K&N or UNI filter foam.

Those stacks look really sharp! I CNC stuff all day for a living, and those prices are extremely reasonable.

The craftsmanship of these stacks is amazing! They were quite expensive but let me tell you they
were worth every penny and my bike has never ran so well. So she must like them too.

That's what I wanted to hear. My bike came with K&N pods on it, but they seem to get dirty real fast. I've been thinking about going with stacks, but I really don't know yet? I may just keep cleaning them. I mean, they work.

Well if they get dirty fast, you may want to keep them. How often do you ride dirty roads? How often do you need to clean them?
Might be worth keeping them.

Well, country roads in AR. They don't really seem dirty to me, but they're all I'm used to. I do end up on a dirt road sometimes, but not often. I live in Fayetteville which isn't really a big, dirty city. I've only cleaned them once, but I've only had the bike since last November. I may just be a clean freak. I plan on cleaning them again soon. I guess they're working well, so I'll probably just keep them until they need replaced.

Awesome logic: "my air filters are getting dirty too fast, so I want to just replace them with no air filters."

Your engine will love you for that one.

Well ride it for a while and see how fast things get dirty. If you only need to do it once a season just because, it probably isnt a big deal.

Vames, some people ask questions because they want to learn more about things they aren't familiar with. I haven't been messing with these old bikes for long, so I have all sorts of stupid questions to ask.

You should be able to get socks for stacks. I am not sure if they are meant for active use, or for safe storage though.

Gstar.... Awesome!! I just borrowed a set for my 550f and I loved them. going to order them up asap an chuck the pods. I also have a 750f and they're definitely going on that puppy too, I've got a similar pipe setup off a z750, so big question did you get the jets sorted, if so please let me know. it would be great to have a baseline, I'm at sea level. cheers your bike looks wicked an I have a good idea how insane it sounds. thanks mike
