what are good aftermarket tail lights?
« on: May 23, 2011, 08:50:25 PM »
i was looking at this one:

http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=905

anyone have that and what are some other choices out there?

I'm definitely relocating the turn signals further back, since teh current placement interferes with most saddlebags. so i'm thinking maybe go with a lower profile tailight as well.

i used most of a taillight from a late 30's Ford school bus... i think the total cost ran me $20... the pic was after my accident, which is why the blinker is all f'd...

Is there a style you are looking for?  What look are you going for? Is this going on a bagger, cafe style, rat style, POS style or stock bike?  Feel free to add any other styles...

I have that lowbrow light in chrome, didnt know they had it in black :( or I would have bought it.   Its a 3 wire light so its a parking light and brake light...It could be a bit brighter but it does the job..

Here it is installed on my bobbed rear fender

What bothers them is they sat up late at night, their breast full of wonder and estrogen, unable to sleep, dreaming about their lovely darling and all her glory... and next thing you know someone else doesn't share their emotional deluge and their reaction is they must spread their mind museum as far as they possibly can, taking over as much of the real world as possible.

Nope, its pretty stock, although it does have a slight crimp on one side so something bumped into it at some point!

quick question about the lucas taillight assembly -- the license  plate holes weren't matching up with the holes in my license so i just drilled another in teh plate, now my plate is (slightly) off center.

Is there a better way to handle that situation?

It is an easy mount.  I can't quite remember but I think it fits with a slight fender modification.  I grounded one wire to the fender.
