Grab bar quickie
« on: May 25, 2011, 07:10:17 AM »
1975 CB750K

I'm at a junkyard picking up a grab bar for my 75.   I want to run some pre 75 turn signals (the smaller ones 69-74)

Are the grab bars the same through the years ? (70-76)      The guy at the yard doesn't know the year - only that it came off a CB750.

Anybody know if there are differences before I leave the yard ?
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

They are different. You need a grab bar from a known 72-74 to run the old style blinkers. The spacing on the fatter-heavier 75-76 stem is different at the base mounting points. Also when looking for the grab bar buy one if possible that has the rubber mounting bits with the metal clam bracket and ground wire attached. Not sure if that is still available from Honda still but is a must to mount on the grab bar. Good Luck on it.  Eric
