Hello from Ohio!
« on: May 25, 2011, 07:54:11 AM »
I'm a new to road bikes, but not new to Hondas... I grew up on little XR-series dirt bikes.
Throughout the years, my dad and brothers have all had various bikes, including a Yamaha R6, and now a Honda Shadow 1100ACE.

I picked up a 78 CB750F SuperSport from a guy in town. I wasn't specifically looking for it, I just wanted something more efficient than a car when I'm paying $4 a gallon for gas to ride to work.

Under 11k miles, but it wouldn't start when I bought it, so I took it for a song. Within a week and less than $100 worth of parts, and she runs good. Starts every time. The biggest cost was a battery and a throttle-pull cable.

As far as what I intend to do with it? A custom seat (it's a little too tall for me) and then just rack up the miles.

Enough ado, here are the pictures.

Welcome to the Forum, TrueSpin!  Nice find!  I've been riding my 500 back and forth to work rain or shine.  I can go more than twice as far on the bike for the same $ as I can in my Jeep.  Got pretty wet today! :)
