Seat replacement?
« on: April 19, 2006, 07:34:38 PM »
I believe the seat on my 750 K5 is not stock because it does not have the "Honda" logo on the back.  What are my options to replace the seat with something that looks fairly stock but maybe is more comfortable?  Also, what about replacing the muffler can?  I have a 4-1 but the can has a big dent in it.  I would like to replace it with something that sounds nice and deep but I'm nervouse about just ordering something that looks like it may fit only to discover it wount mount right or is no good with my headers.  Anybody have a suggestion?  I also wouldn't mind a 4-2 but not a big need at the moment.

Are the foam and pan still good?  You can get new covers to fit your old pan/foam.  Or scrounge e-buy for a replacement. Mine was OK, but no logo.  I found one listed for a 350/360 (can't remember) that fits perfectly, and with the logo.

DSS has them for 95lbs., cover only for 17lbs; whatever that works out in US$.  There may be some over on this side of the pond.

Your reply brings up a question.  What are some good sites for new parts for these older bikes?  I have seen some listing for parts and the prices are pretty steep.  I understand that the cost will be a lot but I would hate to send my money to a con artist.  I'm willing to pay a good amount but I want a good product for my $

Damn csenker!  Now that is a good reply to a post! ;D I had no idea there were so many venders/resources out there for these bikes.  One other question.... Where can I find enough money to buy all the parts I need?  I'll also need enough for a good divorce attorney.  Thanks for the quick and very helpful reply.
