Dual disk bolts for a CB750
« on: April 21, 2006, 10:03:42 AM »
In the mock-up stage for my ’74 CB750 Café.  I have all the parts I need for the dual disk set up besides the longer disk bolts.  Is there a later year that used duals that I can order OEM hardware from?  Or is there another source out there you can recommend (specs or part#s would be great).

Thanks!

I went to a commercial fastener supplier and bought grade 8 bolts with grade 8 nuts with the nylon locking ring in them. They are a gold color and look good. I would not get regular hardware store grade bolts unless they have grade 8.

Goldwing disc bolts work, but thet are hard to find/ no longer available from dealer. Im in the same boat. The bolts I have found at the local hardware store are either too long or too short. I believe the goldwing bolts are 8 x 112. Good luck

as everyone has said, just take the bolt you have to a bolt shop, and get one that is the second disc carrier longer... thats all i have done, make sure though that you put the heads on the speedo side, otherwise the nuts and bolt foul the speedo gearbox...peace

Check out the micro-fiche for a
1976 Honda GL1000 GOLD WING

on www.partsfish.com

Shows a 8x112 bolt for the front disc.

Did I hit the jackpot? Going to put a set on order and see what happens...

Ok, so I placed 6 bolts and 6 nuts on order with partsfish… I get an email today saying the bolts are discontinued.  Oh joy,, So much for paying 54 bucks for bolts!

But I found these:

http://www.boltdepot.com/metric-hex-bolts.aspx

They have grade 8.8  8mmx110m in course thread (1.25).  That should be fine right?  And only  $1.27 each.  Yaie!!!!  Should work right?
