vintage Honda paint Question
« on: June 05, 2011, 09:14:02 AM »
I am hoping to find out the most efficient and less stress way to get my parts
finish painted on my 1972 Honda CB350K4 Twin.
I purchased this sweet Honda about 1 month ago & I have been trying to get the
front end repaired.

I want to get my headlight ears (mounts) & the 2 lower fork tube covers finish
painted. I had them bead blasted and primed with an industrial epoxy primer ( a
very good treatment for lasting durability) and the man in that company told me
I can get them finish coated w/ any good qaulity Automotive paint.
I have done a bit of research...... well, at least I am sure of the O.E. color of my
cycle; it is Candy Gold Custom # Y2CC.
I remember I was looking on ebay..I think, and I found a guy who said he will sell
me all the parts that I needed freshly painted to my correct color and I can swap him my unpainted parts or he can repaint my orig. parts for a certain price.
   I didn't save the search at that time...and now I can't find him !
I am very psyched to get this (my first cycle after 10 years) m/c on the road
looking original.
Anyone have some good contacts you can share ?
                                                                               Thank you Very much,
                                                                                            Bill
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
