Newbie with a restoration
« on: April 21, 2006, 07:30:56 PM »
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks already.  The site is great and has a lot of resources that I am already putting to use.  Now for my bike.  It's a 77 CB750K brown tank(which will be painted) and a decent bit of work needed.  It runs though whichmade me happy.  Plans are getting rid of the rust, re-chrome, paint, replace busted stuff, and basic maintenance and inspection.  Between the condition the bike is in and the guy was a fan of the military it cost me $75. I fell in love with the classic look of this bike and decided to clean it up close to original. Like the name says this is my first four, but not first bike.  As I already said thanks for all the help the site has already given, but help and advice is always welcome.

To quote a great man who said it before... if the price of a SOHC drops to $75.00, you are obligated to by it just for the scenery :)

Read the book: "Men are from Mars, Women are from some godforsaken place where motorcycles do not exist"

Maybe it's the genetics?
