Single nib petcock for cb550??

I recently picked up a new petcock for my 74 CB550. The petcock differs from stock in which it has 1 fuel nib (1/4 inch like stock) instead of 2. Would it be possible for me to just run a single hose that splits at a "T" without any problems? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks
