I recently joined a lawnmower forum to research an old reel type mower. I saw this tonight, and immediately thought of y'all.  I swear I didn't start it.

Keep in mind that they ARE lawnmower people.  The most wind they can handle is at 5MPH. 6, if they break wind.

Actually, no.  I started this quest when I was given an old (60s?) power reel mower.  I joined this one, but have since found The Antique Small Engine Collectors Club(ASECC.com), which has a whole 160(ish) members. Not a single oil thread.

A lot of folks seem to love chugging along, row after row, in the late afternoon when it gets 5 degrees cooler.

In all honesty, I can't wait until we have a lot big enough to warrant a riding mower.  I would thoroughly enjoy doing just that, with a beer in my hand.  Any dad knows that lawn-mowing time is precious alone time, and if you can do it sitting down, even better!

I've been mowing lawns for the last 25 years out of need and for profit.  Been enjoying it for the last 15.  I'd enjoy it more if I could sit while doing it.
