Anyone ever try these pipes?
« on: June 04, 2011, 06:47:05 PM »
Saw this ad on craigslist. Someone put 4 into 4 exhaust appears to be fitted from a '79-'82 CB750. Here's the link.

I wonder what fitment issues there are.

I don't know how hard they would be to put on but man.........they sure do look sweet on there!!! I never considered newer than 76' pipes on my 75K but I'm diggin' those.

I say stock header pipes till just after the footpegs.
Do they have starclamps..??, then def not DOHC parts..
Right side emblem on sidecover is actually a left side...

Good eye on the emblem. Those do look like stock head pipes from the picture. I really like the way the mufflers look. I'm gonna do some investigating.

Just went back and looked some more. If you click on to the craigslist ad....you see more pics. Looks like he f%$ked up and put his side cover emblems on backwards!!! (left side is turned around also). Can't really see how he mounted the mufflers but looks like the rear footpegs are above them.

It looks like they utilized the whole pipe. If they didn't they did a nice job (better than the emblems). I have come across a set of these in the past. Maybe if I find a set cheap enough I might experiment.
