Jim Dickenson still owns Action Fours. Today all they do is buy and sell used motorcycles.

Very cool to have the Action Four legacy covered......That was a name that was spoken with great respect at the RC camp. Definately the guys to beat...and the benchmark in those very early days. I was just a little young to witness the Lions Dragstrip days but those outings were the setting for the fastest fours in the world. Bill Hahn Sr had the fastest stuff out there and my Dad was working the mildly modified stuff at that time including the Stock Record I believe.

I am shocked and embarrassed that no one here has posted any Action Fours related images yet!   :o :o   ;D

Shameful...

Bill Hahn Jr,

It's great to have you here.  Your dad was one of the legends of 1970s motorcycle racing.  Very cool.  In an effort to contribute to your document and history search, I have a 1980 edition Action Fours catalog that I would be happy to scan the whole thing and send to you.  It's about 50 pages, so a pretty big file.  Lots of neat stuff in there...

Again, welcome to the nuthouse.  We're harmless  ....mostly ;)

George

Here is some of your dads handy work when he started ATP
I had the turbo rebuilt by Terry Kizer and told me some funny story's
of when your dad first started the company. Your dad called Terry one day and he had just
blown the rods out of a SOHC 750 about 3/4 of the way down the 1/4 mile
he asked Terry what he thought was going on and Terry asked your dad what the boost was set at
your dad said "What do you mean what do I have the boost set at, how do you do that"
No telling how much pressure he was stuffing in to that but he soon learned about wast-gates.
Terry still has parts (A few) for the systems that your dad sold
thanks Bill Sr.

I think Bill Benton has an ATP on his
bike also.........There are a few of us on here that like just a little more HP thanks to your dad
