volt meter
« on: January 24, 2011, 08:09:27 AM »
From Ebay about $7.00 to my door.  Works very well.  Wired into the headlight bucket ..black wire and the ground, so it is on and off with the key.  I like knowing what the battery voltage is at startup and the charging voltage. It is held in place with the putty like stuff you buy at Ace hardware (hold up pictures etc).  No problem so far.

That is COOL. Really nice application of an old voltmeter.

how does it hold up to the vibration?  skew the readings in any way?

Sorry I cannot find it on E bay, the guy probably sold out.

As to the steadiness of the reading I am happy.  It bounces when I turn on the turn signal...which I would expect, but not much else.  I think the thing works great.

I know this post is a little old, but thought I would pass on the info.  I have seen this on other bikes. Might help someone who would like to keep track of their charging system.
