.ive been trying to read that manual a bit before i sleep..i dont really like it though..i need to get one on paper

Take the pdf files down to Kinkos and get them to print it out double-sided and bind it.  Only costs a few bucks.

73-75 wiring harness here for $76 shipped.  Fast delivery too.  There are some minor differences with '76 but they are listed somewhere on this forum.  It has been asked quite a few times.

yeah someone already posted that,but thanks.i dont think it matters really...i have a 76 and a 75 frame.the 75 frame has most of the electronics on it.so if i have to use that one i will...

Kewl.  I got that one and it is a nice harness.  Lights are nice and bright too.  Well, for what they are, lol.

It helped clean up the triangle quite well.

oh yeah that looks nice..how much were those other things?like the voltage reg and that other brand new item(sorry i dont know the names of stuff)

The shiney thing is the original starter solinoid.  I cleaned that up.

OEM fuse block was over $50

I pulled the battery and tool tray out, media blasted it and painted it.

New OEM pos and neg cables.  Cant remember what they cost.  Id di not get the cable from the solinoid to the starter.  it seemed in good shape.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

that's not bad...but i am pretty poor..the wiring harness on my bike is jacked up..but the harness on that other bike is in good shape..all the wires are there.but the connectors are crumbling apart from sitting out side in the sun..do you think i could get away with just using the other harness and replacing the connectors.(i know someone already sudjested this but i just want some other opinions)

i took this out side today..put this tank and seat on it...im guna keep this stuff..i was guna sell it but i just like the way it looks so much..i love the big o'l couch seat..not guna "CUT THE FRAME UP" either...

oh cool!post some pics..yeah i really like this tank for some reason...thanks..im guna try to take the tank to my buds today.he owes me some work.so im guna see if he can repair this tank for me and relocate the petcock to the left side...

I should get my tank, seat pan, oil tank and side cover back from the paint tomorrow so I will post photos of how they came out. I also liked the K model oil tank and tried to switch but it does not fit on the F bike. I decided to keep my oil tank exposed so I painted it, added decals, polished the cap and added stainless oil lines. Also I like the rounded K tank and did not hammer it but added an AC cobra/speed boat type flip up stainless gas cap. I will add a side cover to the other side. My bike is under Pegasus bike on the project page.

oh alright cool.ill check it out...why doesnt the early oil tank fit?id make it fit..i can be very persuasive.. >:(

The F frame is different, it is also slightly longer. I thought I could make the oil tank fit but the welded frame tabs are way off and also that will throw off the Oil tank side cover, Not saying it could not be done. I shortened my frame for a shorter cafe seat pan and removed the rear peg bars etc but I just decided to work with the F oil tank and dress it up a bit, I think it is very workable if your tail section has the same curve as your K gas tank so it flows well.....because generally the F has more straight lines  than the K models. Visually I wanted the bike to look right and matching the tank and tail shape, I think makes the half breed F/K work OK....if that makes any sense at all?

haha,yeah kinda..i think im doing the same thing only differnt...

i think i like the f oil tank better anyways..it looks more industrial.

so i decided to use this tank.the po had some wild ideas..(or stupid,however you wana say it)..the original petcock was missing and it had some nut welded in.really crappy welds.then they had this crazy an fitting screwd into it..

(thATS a pic of it after i alreday ground that nut down)
so i just cut a lil circle out of some 18 gauge sheet.

guna plug that side up..i think its pretty dumb to have the petcock on the right hand side..
so i drilled a hole on the other side

and i had the bottom half left over from a sportster tank.so i cut the pet cock bung out of that.



guna drop it off at my buds tomorrow so he can weld it up for me..(i cant weld that good)
so ill be using a sportster petcock..no biggie.theyre like 20 bucks brand new.

now i just need to find a gas cap for it.anybody got one layin around?

my buddy flaked on the welding.so im going to another friends to try and weld it myself..cross youre fingers..hope it doesnt leak.

but i got those carb boots today.thanks mr jones...

so now im waiting for some money to hiy my account so i can get that new wiring harness..IM 3 BUCKS SHORT!!!..sucks.o well i can wait till tomorrow i guess.

Looks like you are enjoying yourself so far.  That harness is easy to put in but there will be some connections that will mess ya up a bit, just a bit though.

yeah i am...this stuff is fun...

so its been a while since i added to this post...and i havnt got much done since then..

that wiring harness was a big headache..and im sure there will be more to come when i try to hook up lights and stuff...best advise to anyone reading is to buy the correct honda wire harness..its worth the extra cash.
basically all ive done in the past few months is put on some old cut up pipes,new bars,throttle assembly,clutch and throttle cable,new grips,battery,wire harness,and ignition.gotta wait another few weeks before i get some extra cash(unless i sell some cb 500 parts)


so i got a new throttle assembly and clutch lever and the cables.also got some fork gators..from cycle x.(im waiting till after i paint the tank to put the gators on)


when i rode bmx these were a popular grip..getting it over the throttle assembly was kinda hard cuz theyre both 7/8..but i made it work..used the air compressor trick..

and i know i posted a thread about this the other day..but im still having a hard time deciding which tank to use.the black one will come down a couple of inches if i widen it in the back..so both tank will be about the same length and highth.
