Here's a couple of shots of my buddies '69 CB570...or what's left of it.     Got a 69 from the original owner who actually showed up to watch him hack it up for the "Cafe Racer" tv show on HD network.     It's got an 836 kit and some CR carbs.   The hubs/brakes are truly ridiculous.  Not many of those stateside. Swing arm is off a Yamaha Seca.  Rising sun paint - detailing on the seat.  Stainless pipes that sound just amazing.    Not fair.
Enjoy

very cool indeed.. I love the "in progress" shot. I remember seeing a pic of the rendering in the inspiration thread a while back and wondered if it ever was built. Def in for more pics to.. would love to see a full side shot  :)

Yes please, more pics.  That has to be the smallest front disk I have ever seen.

Any details on it?

The hubs/discs are from a French company Beringer.  They make aircraft brakes as well.  Vented, pretty cool.  I'd hate to know what he paid for them.
Not sure how he mounted the calipers - I'll give him a ring and see how he did it.  Might be a few days, he's driving around on the "Power Tour" somewhere.

I have to say, I'm not a fan of Cafe racer bikes but this is a big step aside really.  Super clean and super fresh  8)

Er, is that it for the air intakes?  ;D

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Looks KICKASS. I like the spoked rims better than the mags in the mock up diagram. Chopping up a 1969.... I think I would of started with something a little newer but hey it looks great!!

I dug up some info/hype on those wacky inboard brakes and hubs:

that is a gorgeous bike...love the paint scheme!!

It could just be the angle, so I might be seeing it wrong, but does the exhaust exit right onto the rearsets?

I'm usually opposed to hacking up the early models myself, but this one wasn't too original, but still very nice.  I'm trying to talk him out of the extra original parts... the bike had a nice set of 300's and some good side covers.   He's one of those guys that will hack anything - and I mean anything.

The pipes are just under the exhaust.   They just fired it last week - not sure how many miles he has on it.

Looks like the frame was chopped a bit up front to angle the tank like it is.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

All the geometry is the same - basically just moved the tank mounts.   Oil is in the swing arms.

They had some "real" riders/racers cut them loose on the Barber Track....from all accounts, everyone that rode them want to go home with them.
