MC! Clip! MOMMY! No jk. what to clean/soak mc with?
« on: June 09, 2011, 02:43:44 PM »
Ha ha ha jk. Bet you thought i was going to ask how to get that stupid clip out. Na managed to get lucky and it came out after 15 min of about 1000 bad words 2 cigarettes some black Sabbath and a bit of silence and meditation. :)

Anyways, I've got this thing apart and its pretty shellacked/tarnished or w/e you might call it inside the bowl and the sleep area where all the parts go. I know the rust is from that darn clip and would just take a bit from a dremil to clear it but i am sure I do not want to take the dremil inside that tube area.? I imagine that there is some solution i could just drop this thing in over night and have it do the work for me? Any ideas or suggestions?

my bad sorry. I am rebuilding the master cylinder on my bike. Came here and did all the research on doing it but never read or saw anything that said "the best thing to clean out your mc is xxxxx." I never knew about the tie betwen water and dot3.  Or how it soaks into your skin. Ugh! Anyways I just figured i would make a joke about that darn clip since I'm sure it might be funny to  few people. Fail!  ;D
Any ways i am about do to a search on switching to dot5. I remember reading about it and thought ide look into it. Kind of like the idea of the stuff not gumming up. if anyone has any input about it that'd be great. For all i know it was just something i missread.
